Travel, tourism, and hospitality are important industries in the Central Massachusetts economy. Tourism represents the third largest industry in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. More than 3,220 people are employed in tourism-related jobs in Central Massachusetts alone, accounting for a payroll of over $90 million annually.
