Debate on Red Light Enforcement and City Manager Selection Process
Photo- Radio Worcester
It used to be, maybe, one car would go through a red light. Now it’s two or three going through the light and you better look both ways before you go on a green light. A lot of talk about road safety and this is just another aspect. Is more enforcement possible or is there just not enough man power? The Roundtable debates using existing technology, cameras on top of red lights, to crack down and issue tickets. The majority of the panel in favor but will the public pushback be too great to implement? The Roundtable, Gary Rosen, Guillermo Creamer and Mark Henderson also get into what the process should be for picking City Manager’s. Always hire from within? Always have a national search?
