District 4 City Councilor Sarai Rivera talks about the swearing-in ceremony of City Manager Eric Batista and what it means to Worcester. Rivera says when she was first elected ten years ago not many people in City Hall looked like her. She said over the last years a commitment was made to have City Hall better reflect the community. Rivera said one of the first hires after her conversation with CM Michael O’Brien about diversifying was Batista. A proud day to see him as City Manager and a role model for the youth of the city.
