Dr. Satya Mitra Announces Run for Worcester Councilor-at-Large: A Vision of Inclusivity and Giving Back

Dr. Satya Mitra, well known in the community for his many charitable works, announced on the Talk of the Commonwealth morning show on Radio Worcester that he is running for Councilor-at-Large. Dr. Mitra told us he is running to give back more to the city he loves and that has been so good to him and his family for over 40 years. He wants to help the city move forward, he wants to be inclusive and be a good listener to the ideas that are brought forward. He said he is looking forward to the campaign and to have his family in full support of his candidacy.

Dr. Mitra is the President and CEO of The Guru Tax & Financial Services, located in Worcester. He and his wife Sheema founded Joy Guru Humanitarian Services, a charitable foundation dedicated to offering hope and support to underprivileged individuals in Worcester and globally. Giving back has always been at the core of his life’s work.
