Lisa Swanson Named President & CEO of BBB Central New England, Aims to Expand Nonprofit Accreditation

WORCESTER, MASS- Lisa Swanson is the new President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau of Central New England. She is no stranger to Central New England Businesses, having been with the Hanover Theatre since its start almost 18 years ago. Swanson discusses the BBB’s mission, its accreditation standards for businesses and charities, and her plans to reinvigorate the organization’s President’s Club and host an open house event to engage the community. One of her focuses will be on increasing the number of non-profits that are accredited. The BBB has strict accreditation standards for businesses (8 standards) and charities (20 standards) to ensure integrity and trust in the marketplace.
Swanson says, “We just really want to be known as a fabulous resource for trust in the marketplace with both consumers and businesses, and now of course, charities and nonprofits as well.”
