Worcester, MA- Market on Exchange will return to downtown Worcester on Sunday, April 12, as organizers shift the popular event from Brussels Street back into the city center to increase visibility, foot traffic, and community engagement. Organizer Julia Moriconi says the move reflects both the market’s growth and the evolving energy of downtown Worcester.
She explained that the move is a strategic decision to increase visibility, foot traffic, and re-integrate the now fully developed market into the downtown economic system. The move is expected to be popular and they boast a high vendor retention rate of 85%, supplemented by new vendors, offering a diverse range of products from fresh produce and proteins to specialty prepared foods and crafts.
Another key goal is to serve the growing number of downtown residents in new apartment buildings and to promote a walkable, vibrant city center on Sundays.
The Market on Exchange is more than a Farmer’s Market; it will be a community hub, dog-friendly with live music and a happy, uplifting atmosphere. As Julia said; “Hank, we built a community. We had people gathering … People are still getting together now that met at the market and they’re looking forward to the market again…”
