McGovern: Government Stays Open, But Dysfunction Remains; Calls for Increased Secret Service Funding After Trump Assassination Attempt Report

Congressman James McGovern says the good news out of Washington is that the government is not shutting down. The bad news is the fact that they have to continually vote to keep the government funded shows the dysfunction that is going on now. Congress. McGovern also addresses the report that shows the mistakes that were made by the Secret Service.in the July assassination attempt on former President Trump. He says Congress has passed a bill to increase funding for the Secret Service so that everyone gets more protection. McGovern said that he will be headed to NH and other states to take part in events for the Harris/Walz campaign as well as meeting with his own constituents over the next five weeks. He made clear he does feel Democracy is on the line in this election.
