QCC President Dr. Luis Pedraja Talks Finals, Mental Health Support, and Swearing in K9 Siggy, Worcester’s First College Resource Dog

QCC President Dr. Luis Pedraja fills us in on the end of the semester. He tells us students are getting ready for finals. The college recently held a pinning ceremony for K9 Siggy, who will be an official part of the QCC Police Force. Siggy is the first community resource dog at any of the Worcester Colleges and Universities and QCC is the only MA Community College with a resource dog. He has now been sworn in after almost a year of training. The resource dog goes out and helps students deal with the stress of this time of year and other mental health issues. Studies show that interacting with dogs can help lower stress.
