Remembering Bob Rivers: A Radio Legend’s Legacy & His Impact on Worcester

https://bobrivers.com/
As tributes pour in for radio legend Bob Rivers, people remember all the joy and laughter he brought to get their day started. The Bob and Zip Morning Show from the ’80s on WAAF is still talked about to this day. So much so that the duo could revive the show on weekends on The Pike ten years ago. Rivers recently passed away, and Dr. Charles Steinberg, the President of the Worcester Red Sox, shared a story from Rivers’ days in Baltimore and a stunt so epic it helped get Camden Yards built. Steinberg says no Camden Yards in Baltimore would probably mean a world without Polar Park. He shared the story on the Worcester Red Sox Show.
