Rich Rubino, Political Analyst & Political Author, joins the Talk of the Commonwealth on the Radio Worcester Network to break down President Donald Trump’s Inaugural speech. Rubino says there has never been another one like it. Rubino said usually you give an address that is thematic, talking about the American journey, this was more of a partisan speech for his base. Rubino said he spoke as if he has a sweeping mandate but that he really won by less than 2%, so it will be interesting to see if he is able to get his legislation through. He may need Democrat help in the house to get some proposals through. Rich and Hank also talked about the Imperial Presidency and Trump’s feeling that he has a great deal of power and can do much without Congress through executive orders.
