Sarai Rivera Reflects on 12 Years, Worcester Together Success
District 4 City Councilor Sarai Rivera reflects on her 12 years in office and speaks with us about what she is most proud of. “Worcester Together” is at the top of the list. She says that project has broken down barriers and built bridge. Among her other accomplishments the South Worcester Industrial Park. She told us that when she ran she recognized that project needed to get done but it had been stagnant for so many years there was skepticism it could be done. She is very proud of the impact that it is having in the Main South area of the city. There are many more and she says just because she chose to leave the Council doesn’t mean that she will stop working for the community she loves. She says her activism and involvement is what drove her to run for office and that work will continue.
