Sen. Michael Moore on the State Budget, Housing Plans & Energy Costs
State Senator Michael Moore runs us through the budget process and where we are right in the next fiscal budget, the Governor’s budget has just come out. He does say there is some uncertainty as to how much funding we will get from the federal government. We get about 20 billion from the fed’s so a cut of say two billion, if that were to happen, would be significant. It would mean raising taxes or significant cuts to programs. Moore talks about the plans that Secretary Augustus has for the Commonwealth on housing. Moore also talks about affordable housing as well as housing for the homeless shelter and migrant crisis. He also looks at the Governor’s plan for the out of control February energy bills everyone got.
