Worcester, MA- Congressman Seth Moulton joined Talk of the Commonwealth to discuss his primary challenge against incumbent Senator Ed Markey, framing the race as a contrast in leadership style rather than policy differences.

Moulton emphasized that while he and Markey share alignment on many key issues, he believes a new generation of leadership is needed to address persistent challenges. He pointed to affordability, particularly housing as a central concern for Massachusetts residents, arguing that current approaches have not delivered sufficient progress.

He also highlighted bipartisan efforts, including work on the 988 mental health hotline, as an example of a results-driven approach to governance.

Throughout the conversation, Moulton positioned the race as part of a larger national discussion about the direction of the Democratic Party, suggesting voters are looking for clearer priorities and measurable outcomes. He also referenced forward-looking ideas, including infrastructure proposals such as high-speed rail, as part of a broader vision for the state.
