STERLING, MASS- Jonathan Godbout, a 20-year-old ninja warrior from Sterling, talks to Hank about his upcoming TV appearance, his love for the sport, and how he trains. He has been a fan of American Ninja Warrior since he was a young kid. He even built obstacle courses in his living room and started training at a local ninja gym when he was 12 years old. Hank talks to Johnathon about the mental aspect with Godbout saying, ” If everything were easy, then it wouldn’t be very cool to finish something or complete something or accomplish something. So I think just the fact that it is hard is what draws me to it.” Extreme fitness challenges inspire Godbout and has undertaken personal challenges like climbing the equivalent of Mount Everest’s height on stairs. Godbout has competed on the show multiple times, including on the spin-off series American Ninja Warrior Junior, where he placed third in his first season. His next appearance on the show is Monday July 21st. He has also begun working as a personal trainer. You can get in touch through his social media.
