Thrive Support and Advocacy Hosts Fundraiser at 2 Chefs in Worcester to Support Disability-Friendly Food Pantry

Worcester, MA-Thrive Night at 2 Chefs in Worcester. Friday, February 27th, from 5:30 to close. Thrive will receive 10% of all food and beverage sales generated at the restaurant.

Sean Rose, CEO Thrive Support and Advocacy, talked about Friday’s upcoming fundraiser at 2 Chefs. Rose discussed the 54-year history of the organization, its mission to support individuals with disabilities, and its recent expansion and increased footprint in Worcester.

A significant part of the conversation focused on the Flourish at Thrive Food Pantry, a unique “disability friendly” pantry created to address food insecurity within their community. The public can support the pantry by attending the event at 2 Chefs or donating specific allergen-free food items.

On this edition of the Thrive podcast, President and CEO Sean Rose, talks about the fact that for the first time in over a decade Thrive is now fully staffed. Rose said that recruitment has been difficult. Thrive has had to be creative to attract and retain staff including how they approach wages. Thrive has been able to hire a number of newcomers, particularly from Haiti, to fill a number of positions. Now, by being fully staffed, they have been able to unlock a number of backlogged services and supporting a number of families and caregivers.
