Tim Murray Calls Out State Decision to Bypass Worcester for Crime Lab

Tim Murray Calls Out State Decision to Bypass Worcester for Crime Lab
On the Voice of Business, Tim Murray, President and CEO of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, addresses the disappointment of the announcement that the State Crime Lab will be located in Marlborough instead of Worcester. Murray said the action didn’t match the Governor’s rhetoric when she spoke of investing in economically disadvantaged neighborhoods, environmental justice (a reclaimed brownfield site), and investing around public transportation (Union Station). Murray says the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) is broken. That more should be taken into consideration than just the absolute lowest bid. Murray said the Governor needs to align these agencies with her stated goals.
