Worcester, MA-UniBank CEO Ed Augustus stopped by Sherwood’s Diner to talk with Hank Stolz about UniBank’s newly launched Nonprofit Resource Center, a program designed to extend services to nonprofit organizations well beyond standard banking offerings. The center provides nonprofit customers with a dedicated relationship manager who serves as a single point of contact for all banking needs, including loans, cash management, and deposit products.

“It really is taking a look at what the needs of not-for-profits that do so much important work throughout the footprint of the bank and across Massachusetts and beyond need beyond just the core banking services,” said Augustus, “The work that the not-for-profits do is really aligned with the mission of the bank, which is to serve communities.” On what sets the program apart, Augustus said, “You have one individual who is really uniquely knowledgeable about not-for-profit organizations, what their needs are, hopefully knowledgeable about the individual organization that is a customer of the bank.”

Educational programming for non-profits and their clients is included. “We are going to be offering training programs and seminars specifically designed to the not-for-profit community to help them with that information.” said Augustus, “We will be able to host seminars and trainings and speakers where we’ll bring in topics and folks knowledgeable about topics that may be uniquely tailored to the not-for-profit world so they can get together and network.”
