Worcester City Councilor Moe Bergman’s order to place a moratorium on new parks has got people talking. He explains to Talk of the Commonwealth his order is meant to put the emphasis on properly funding and maintain the parks we have before we put resources towards new ones.Here is what he sent the City Manager – Request City Manager consider implementing a moratorium on the creation of any new city parks until such a time that all existing city parks are satisfactorily maintained, upgraded and/or completed.
