Worcester is holding a Veterans Health Clinic on Friday, September 27th, from 10-2 PM on Worcester Common. Director of Veterans Services Dr. Joe Robinson stops by Talk of the Commonwealth to give us details on the free shots, blood pressure exams, massages and more. All are welcome. Robinson recounts his efforts of getting the word out to veterans about the services that are available to them. Sadly, a number of veterans, whether out of pride or not not knowing that the help exists, do not avail themselves of all the programs they could. Robinson is also pushing to have a larger Veterans Day Parade with more participants this year. The Veterans Day Ceremony is November 11th. The 106th Annual Observance of Armistice Day. The traditional pancake breakfast at Veteran’s Inc. will begin at 8:30 a.m. The parade down Grove St. will start at 11. Start at Percy’s and end at Lincoln Square. The Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Green Hill Park will be at noon, the ceremony at the Korean War Memorial on Foster St. will be at 1. To participate in the parade please contact Dr. Robinson at veterans@worcesterma.gov
