Worcester, MA- Dr. Michelle Hadley is the Governor and President for the Massachusetts American College of Cardiology Chapter. She introduced us to the Saint Vincent cardiology fellowship team who emerged as national champions in the American College of Cardiology’s Jeopardy competition.  A huge win for Worcester!

Representing Saint Vincent Hospital were Fellows‑in‑Training Pablo Ledesma, MD, Kannu Bansal, MD, and Adam Doerr, MD, who competed against top teaching institutions from across the United States.

The fellows managed to prepare for this intense competition while simultaneously handling the demanding daily responsibilities of their cardiology fellowship, which included extensive patient care in both hospital and clinic settings.  “…they are another level of human beings. And we are honored to have them in Massachusetts, especially our Worcester community and St. Vincent’s because they are going to continue to shine throughout their career and give back to our community.” -said Dr. Michelle Hadley

The team described their strategy and path to victory, from winning the competitive Massachusetts state championship to defeating 40 other teams at the national level in New Orleans. The conversation showcases the team’s deep medical knowledge, composure, and teamwork, as well as the immense pride the accomplishment brought to St. Vincent Hospital and the state.
