Worcester, MA- On this edition of the Discover Central MA Podcast, we hear how Blackstone National is preparing for the upcoming golf season, with memberships and league sign-ups underway. The course maintenance team is doing phenomenal work to get the course ready. Julia Pezzano, Sales Administrator & Event Sales  joined Tim Power of DCM to talk about all the amazing things happening.

It is more than just a golf course and we spend a great deal of time talking about the entertainment/wedding venue associated with Blackstone National. The Barn at Blackstone National, built in late 2021, had become a highly sought-after venue for weddings, private events, and golf tournaments.

The Barn hosts a variety of unique events, including monthly line dancing, a dueling DJs party, and a “Breakfast with Elsa” family event. “So, I’m just always trying to come up with unique things that kind of get people out of the house because I’m not a winter person… so it’s like, what would I like to go do? What would I think the community like to go do and trying to find things that kind of bring people out?” It is perfect for weddings and Pezzano says, “One of our coordinators calls it the Build-A-Bear effect where you go and you build your bear and you pick out its clothes. It’s the same thing with the barn. It’s very customizable. It’s a very build your own experience and it is a really great time for couples.”  Blackstone National in Sutton is a central meeting point, approximately an hour from Hartford, Providence, and Boston, and only 20 minutes from Worcester.

The Grill at Blackstone National is open year round, offering dinner on weekends, a Sunday breakfast buffet, and weekly events like a pitch league and trivia nights.
