WORCESTER, MA– Professional figure skater Cassandra Ablack joined Talk of the Commonwealth to share her excitement about performing in the New England premiere of “Disney on Ice presents Jump In,” happening Thursday through Sunday at the DCU Center in Worcester.
Ablack portrays Matangi from Moana 2, one of the newest additions to the Disney on Ice lineup. “I have a crazy costume with a cape and a huge wig, and I have 16 bats out there with me that are UV lit,” she said. “I think that’s one of the biggest highlights of the show.”
The production introduces several new segments, including an Inside Out 2 scene where skaters perform inside large inflatable balls and a dynamic Zootopia number. Fan-favorite characters from Frozen, beloved Disney Princesses, and timeless icons like Mickey Mouse and Stitch round out the performance.
Cassandra also reflected on the dedication it takes to be part of Disney on Ice. “It’s not just skating,” she explained. “You learn acting, consistency, and responsibility—it’s a full performance career.”
The show runs through the weekend, offering families in Central Massachusetts a magical live experience celebrating Disney storytelling, athleticism, and imagination.
