WORCESTER, Mass.- In this Discover Central MA podcast edition, Tim Power and Hank Stolz speak with Elaine Crane, founder and executive director of Greater Worcester Opera. Elaine talks about the founding of the group and the upcoming show, Love Italian Style. Elaine tells us they will be presenting the first act of some of the best-known Italian Operas, and they will be presented in English. A great way to introduce people to opera and a delight for those who are already fans. Greater Worcester Opera will present fully staged and costumed Act One of Puccini’s La Bohème, Menotti’s The Telephone, and one of Verdi’s La Traviata. Elaine says if you enjoy Broadway shows, you’ll enjoy this production. Plus, some of the most beautiful, classically trained voices are in the cast.
