Mechanics Hall Executive Director Kathy Gagne talks to us about the summer events coming up and the advantages of membership. One of Kathy’s favorite programs at the Hall is the “Many Voices Mechanics Hall Youth Singers” This is a free program for Worcester’s young people to be able to sing at Mechanics Hall. No audition is needed. That program for youth singers is expanding this Fall to include fourth graders and seventh graders. This program will give young people the opportunity to sing on the stage at Mechanics Hall and is part of Kathy’s vision of it being the people’s hall. Yes, world renowned artists routinely visit, but, the Hall is truly accessible to everyone. Kathy also encourages people to support Mechanics Hall by becoming members and tells us of the benefits of membership including free member events such as the upcoming Salsa Social, the Behind Worcester’s Organ Tour, a lecture on the Legacy of Lafayette and much more. Other upcoming events include game night, paint night, and the return of fan favorite John Philip Sousa National High School Honor Band Concert.
