WORCESTER, MASS-On this episode of The Worcester Red Sox Show Dr. Charles Steinberg talks about the Roman Anthony being called up to the Boston Red Sox, joining Marcello Mayer. How that call up didn’t slow down the WooSox, who have a 9-game winning streak and hot young stars, like “The Password,” and Blaze Jordan. Dr. Charles encourages fans to come out for the upcoming homestand. “These are the days. Here they are. The kind that we look forward to all winter long.” Dr. Charles talks about his experience with the Boston Red Sox and relates that to the call up of Roman Anthony. “I remember when we took over the Red Sox, there was debate about whether we should do wholesale dismantling in 2002 and go with youth. But if you try to pull in Boston what other clubs have since done, which is impose terrible seasons on their fans in the name of ‘We’ll be Good in three or four years,’ that’s not going to fly in Boston.” Dr. Charles runs down all the cool things coming up this week including their successful “peanut free” nights and the origins of that in Boston.
