Where’s the Outrage? Worcester Stepped Over for State Crime Lab, more.

radio wrorcester
Where’s the outrage from the State Delegation? Where’s the pushback from the City Council? The Radio Roundtable, Matt Wally, Guillermo Creamer, and Gary Rosen wondered why there is no indignation or raised voices regarding the State Crime Lab going to Marlborough and not coming to Worcester. The Roundtable agrees with Chamber CEO and President Tim Murray that the decision goes against what the Governor has said publicly about state projects, like the crime lab, going to sites like the one across from the ballpark, a former brownfield site, near public transportation and not just going to an office park. The Roundtable also looks at the UMass Chan hiring freeze and how cuts like the one to the NIH at the federal level will affect us at the local level. The Roundtable also agrees with the op/ed by former DPW Commissioner Bob Moylan when it comes to the City Council focusing locally, not globally.
