Worcester Now/Next Plan: Deep Dive with Dunn and Smith

Chief Development Officer Peter Dunn and Assistant Chief Development Officer – Planning & Regulatory Services Michelle Smith stop by the Radio Worcester studio to do a deep dive into everything you need to know about Worcester Now/Next plan. This plan is focused on the “built environment,” with a focus on zoning and growth through 2040. Infrastructure underneath our feet and a mobility plan. Citizens still have time to come forward and give their feedback. The plan is a 150 pages and is available on the city website and is available for public comment. Recently the Planning Board held a hearing to give their feedback. The Planning Board gave positive feedback and are encouraged by how to link our land use and transportation. People who have taken part in the public participation for the plan gave a lot of feedback on the importance of walkability so that is reflected along with so much more in Now/Next. This will be a living document and referred to often and not put on a shelf somewhere.
