Worcester, MA – Since the writers (WGA) and actors (SAG-AFTRA)strike Worcester and Massachusetts have seen a decline in the number of big-budget Hollywood pictures being shot locally. A blow to the local economy. As Eric Casey of the Worcester Business Journal told Talk of the Commonwealth it doesn’t look like the number of major productions is going to go up any time soon. But, John Keough of Manny Jae Media in Worcester says Hollywoo still has a thriving indie scene, with many smaller projects being put together daily by talented, local, filmmakers.
