WORCESTER, MA–
Her appearance is sponsored by Gerry Dougherty and the Boston Independence Group. He joined The Talk of the Commonwealth to share details about the event.
Jill Dougherty’s expertise comes from a 50-year relationship with Russia, beginning with her college studies abroad. She will be discussing her new book, My Russia: What I Saw Inside the Kremlin. Currently, Dougherty teaches at Georgetown University, where she offers classes on disinformation and “the Putin generation.”
She notes that Americans often fail to understand leaders like Vladimir Putin because we view the world through a democratic, American lens that does not always apply elsewhere.
Following the talk, there will be a Q&A moderated by former Congressman Peter Blute, and a book signing with Dougherty.
Tickets for this event are free, but advance registration is required.
