WORCESTER, MA-Meghan Montaner, the relatively new Executive Director at Mechanics Hall, joined Talk of the Commonwealth alongside Marketing Director Amy Sklar to share what the future holds for the iconic downtown venue — and how the first months in her role have inspired her.

Montaner said she was immediately drawn to Mechanics Hall’s long-standing reputation as a “beacon in the community for culture and bringing folks together.” With more than 165 years of history, the hall has served as a gathering place for education, arts, and civic life. Meghan shared that she aims to revive the hall’s original mission of education, believing it to be a powerful tool for strengthening and uplifting the local community.

The conversation also highlighted the full slate of holiday programming coming up at Mechanics Hall. From traditional pops concerts and The Nutcracker to immersive Candlelight concerts and fresh seasonal performances, Meghan and Amy are excited to welcome families and visitors into a space where history and celebration meet.

As Mechanics Hall continues to evolve, Montaner made clear that the heart of the organization isn’t changing — it remains focused on bringing people together, inspiring creativity, and ensuring that Worcester’s cultural heritage thrives for generations to come.
