WORCESTER, MA- New Year, Same Scammers: What to Watch for in the First 30 Days of the Year January is a perfect storm. People are reviewing accounts, expecting tax documents, applying for jobs, and thinking about investments or ways to improve their finances. Scammers design their messages to blend right into those normal activities. So instead of something obviously suspicious, the scams often look like things people are already expecting a tax notice, an email from HR, or a job offer.
