WORCESTER, MA– On this edition of The Worcester Red Sox Show, Dr. Charles Steinberg touched on a wide range of topics — from the city’s financial challenges tied to Polar Park development to the deep community value the team continues to deliver.

Dr. Steinberg acknowledged the ongoing fiscal debate but emphasized that the WooSox have provided Worcester with something equally important: national recognition and civic pride. “You can’t quantify the value of putting Worcester on the map,” he said.

He also invited public feedback on the popular “Boo in the Woo” event and announced several exciting new initiatives. Among them, a partnership between the WooSox Foundation, NESN, and local organizations to build a new children’s playground on Harrington Way on the city’s east side.

Looking ahead, Steinberg previewed Polar Park’s 11th annual free steak dinner for veterans and a brand-new holiday light experience — “Winter in WooVille.”
