BBB Launches First Multilingual Business Overviews for Latino Entrepreneurs

WORCESTER, MA-Lisa Swanson, President and CEO, The Better Business Bureau of Central New England told Talk of the Commonwealth that the BBB scheduled its first-ever multilingual business benefits overviews for Latino business owners on October 1st and 2nd. It’s part of a new collaborative initiative with great partners such as E for All. “One of the things I love most about my new gig here at the BBB is all about collaboration, not competition.” Those meetings are just the start of an ongoing “Better Together” event series that the BBB will be taking on the road to other parts of its service area, including Springfield and the Berkshires. Joining Lisa on the air was Leo: The newest account manager at the BBB, specializing in Latino businesses. He is a first-generation Mexican American and one of two multilingual staff members. Jose Castro: The head of E for All (Entrepreneurship for All) in Greater Worcester, a national nonprofit that helps underrepresented individuals launch and grow their businesses. Megan McBride: The Director of Marketing and Communications for the BBB of Central New England, responsible for coordinating and promoting the new events.
